Each has a specific code linked to the national Petlog database
A trusted animal identification system is used to reunite missing pets back with their owners, quickly and efficiently.
A tracer microchip is roughly the size of a grain of rice which is implanted in the scruff of the loose skin between the shoulder blades. Each microchip has a specific code linked to the national Petlog database. It contains all your pets details including address and contact numbers allowing quick return home.
The chip can be placed either when in for a routine appointment or at the time of neutering. Having your pet microchipped is a requirement of the Pet Travel Scheme if you wish to take your pet on holiday.
