Our Laurencekirk branch has hospital status. This means that the Royal College dictate the standards that the building must be maintained to but also the type of equipment that we own and have to be able to use. They also set the guidelines on volume of up to date courses the vets and nurses must attend and the standards that we must keep to.
Having hospital status means that there has to be somebody on site 24 hours a day. As this is a mixed practice this means that a nurse is on site 24 hours a day with a vet on call 24 hours a day.
