Ian Anderson

Ian was brought up near St Andrews in Fife and attended The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, part of Edinburgh University. He graduated in 1986 and was winner on the Royal Highland Agricultural Society Medal in Veterinary Reproduction and Obstetrics.

Ian then worked for 4 years in a mixed practice in Oxfordshire which allowed him to gain experience in all species including a considerable amount of exotic and zoo work. He then worked in another mixed practice in Hertfordshire concentrating mainly on farm and equine work.

In 1991 Ian joined the practice in Laurencekirk and became a partner in 1992. He now has interests across a breadth of species and splits his time between small animal surgery, consulting at all our clinics and ambulatory visits to large animals.
